This release introduces a series of targeted usability enhancements, new invoicing and reporting functionalities, API access, and a collection of resolved defects aimed at improving chart filtering, timesheet and invoice workflows, and reporting accuracy. These modifications prioritize operational correctness and enhance data visibility for finance and project teams, facilitating more efficient processes and decision-making.
What's New
- Invoice and Deliverable Improvements: Users can now generate a draft invoice directly from a single deliverable. The deliverable menu includes a “Create draft invoice” option, which invoices only the billing periods or approved time entries associated with the selected deliverable.
- Deliverable Status Management: A new back office master table titled “Deliverable Status” has been introduced. This allows for the creation, ordering, archiving, and assignment of statuses, which are now visible in the deliverable form, project view (with inline editing), and in reporting/BigQuery exports.
- Alphanumeric Invoice Numbering: The back office “Accounting settings” now accommodate company-specific alphanumeric prefixes and suffixes for auto-generated invoice numbers. Note: This is not available for customers using accounting integrations.
- Company/Department Restrictions: Administrators can now restrict the Company/Department combinations employees select when creating opportunities or projects. This setting is located in the back office function “Employees” under the setting “Selectable companies/departments” to ensure data integrity from the start.
- Data and Integration Enhancements: A new BigQuery dataset for the “Employees” report is available, exposing essential dimensions for dashboards. Additionally, APIs for creating and updating timesheets are now open for third-party integration. You can find full technical details in the VOGSY API documentation.
- Expenses Report: Added “Sales amount in expense currency” to the Expenses report for easier verification of the expense data.
Platform and UI Updates
- New Google Sheets Add-on: We have transitioned to a new Google Sheets add-on to provide a more robust reporting experience. Please note that this update only affects users running VOGSY on a Google Domain. For detailed setup instructions and features, please visit the New Google Sheets Add-on help page.
- Enhanced Logo Provider: We have upgraded our logo integration provider to a more advanced version. This change ensures that when you create new organizations, VOGSY retrieves more accurate and high-quality logos automatically, improving the visual professionality of your CRM data.
- Old Back Office Removed: The legacy back office (previously accessible via
https://vogsy.io/backoffice2) has been officially decommissioned. Any bookmarked links to this old version will no longer function. Please ensure all bookmarks are updated to point to the current back office URL to maintain a seamless experience.
Bug Fixes
- Chart Filtering: Resolved an issue where selecting multiple departments in the “Margin Forecast” chart caused filter items to disappear.
- AI Prompt Saving: Fixed a 400 error occurring when saving AI prompts from Charts.
- Leave Display Color: Approved historical leave now correctly displays a green indicator once time entries are approved.
- Purchase Invoice Posting: Addressed validation and decimal handling issues that prevented the “Done” button from activating on purchase invoices when base currency decimals were set to zero.
- Deliverable Form Flags: Corrected the “has cap” option in the deliverable form, which was previously permanently disabled.
- Project History Refresh: The History tab now refreshes correctly when navigating between different projects.
