How to create custom charts for VOGSY boards
In addition to VOGSY's standard charts, you can enhance your Boards by embedding custom charts and reports created in your preferred Business Intelligence (BI) or spreadsheet tool.
This article explains the three-step process for creating, publishing, and adding a custom chart to a VOGSY Board.
Step 1: Create Your Chart in an External Tool
First, build the chart or report you want to display using your external application's tools. The supported applications include:
Google Sheets (including Connected Sheets)
Power BI
Microsoft Excel 365
Looker Studio
Step 2: Publish the Chart Securely
Next, you must publish your chart to get a shareable URL.
When publishing, it is essential that you configure the sharing settings correctly to protect your data. Set the access permissions so that the chart is only visible to people within your company's domain.
Once published, copy the chart's unique URL.
Step 3: Add the Chart to Your VOGSY Board
Finally, with your published URL in hand, you can add the chart to VOGSY.
Navigate to and open the VOGSY Board where you want to add the chart.
Click the "Add Custom Chart" button.
Give your chart a descriptive Title.
Paste the published URL into the URL field.
Click "Save."
Your custom chart will now appear as a tile on your VOGSY Board.
