How to set up the Financial KPIs chart

The Financial KPIs chart in VOGSY is a powerful visualization tool designed to give you quick insights into your company's key financial performance indicators. By displaying critical metrics alongside their targets, this chart helps track progress, monitor financial health, and support data-driven decision-making.

Setting up the Financial KPIs Chart

Configuring the Financial KPIs chart involves two main steps:

  1. Defining and configuring financial KPIs

  2. Customizing the chart display

1. Defining and configuring Financial KPIs (prerequisite)

The KPIs displayed in the chart are based on calculations set up in VOGSY's back office using the master table KPIs.

  • Define Specific KPIs: Identify the financial metrics that are most important to your business to track (e.g., Revenue, Gross Margin, Operating Expenses).

  • Configure KPI Calculations: VOGSY includes a set of default KPIs, but you can define custom ones to suit your business needs.

  • Set KPI Targets: Assign monthly and annual targets for each KPI by entering budget values for the corresponding ledger accounts that make up the KPI.

2. Customizing the chart display

Once your KPIs and targets are defined, you can configure how they appear in the chart and dashboards.

  • Adding KPIs to the chart: In the chart settings (within the VOGSY back office), you can specify which KPIs should be included in the Financial KPIs chart.

  • Adding the Chart to a Dashboard: The Financial KPIs chart appears by default on your main dashboard. You can also create custom dashboards for specific teams or roles, and pin the KPIs chart on them.
