How to use the projects - weather changes chart in VOGSY

VOGSY's "Projects - weather changes" chart is a visualization that helps you monitor the health and trajectory of your projects over the past seven days. Using an intuitive "weather condition" metaphor, this chart makes it easy to spot projects that may need attention due to recent shifts in their performance or status.

What the "Weather Condition" represents

The "weather condition" in VOGSY is a calculated performance indicator that reflects the overall health of a project. It can be configured in your VOGSY Project Settings to reflect one of the following:

Margin: The weather reflects the project's financial profitability. A favorable weather condition (e.g., sunny) indicates a healthy margin, while unfavorable conditions (e.g., stormy) suggest the project is over budget or not generating the expected profit.

Schedule: The weather reflects the project's progress against its planned timeline. Good weather indicates the project is on schedule, while poor weather might mean it faces delays.

5 types of weather

The weather indicators are:

  • sunny

  • partially sunny

  • cloudy

  • rainy

  • stormy

Setting up the weather in the project settings

Configuration in Back Office: Administrators can configure the project weather settings in VOGSY's back office. This includes deciding whether the weather will be based on margin or schedule.

They can set the thresholds that trigger different weather conditions. VOGSY comes equipped with default settings.
