How to set up a Trello integration
Collaborate with your clients
VOGSY's Trello integration elevates project management by streamlining task management and fostering seamless collaboration between project team members and clients.
The Trello integration allows you to easily create or link dedicated Trello boards to your projects in VOGSY. This ensures that everyone stays aligned, making tracking progress and maintaining productivity across teams easier.
Establish connection
Before you can begin using the Trello integration, you'll need to connect VOGSY to Trello:
Go to the back office and find the Third Party Integrations section.
Click Integrate your client collaboration system. The Connect to your software provider page opens.
Select Trello from the client collaboration software dropdown list and click Save. The Trello connection setup page opens.
Click Authorize VOGSY for Trello. The Trello authorization page opens.
Click Log in. You will be redirected to Trello’s login page.
Log into Trello and a second Trello authorization page will open.
Click Allow. You will be returned to the Trello connection setup page.
Your connection between VOGSY and Trello is now successfully established, and you are ready to connect VOGSY to a Trello workspace!
Connect a Trello Workspace
To access and link Trello boards, you first need to connect VOGSY to a Trello Workspace.
The Trello Workspace can be connected by completing the following steps:
Go to the back office function 'Trello settings' in the Third Party Integrations section.
Type the name of the Trello workspace that you want to connect to into the Search workspaces field. A list of potential workspaces will appear.
Choose the appropriate workspace and click Save.
Map Trello users to VOGSY employees
Before your employees can collaborate in Trello, VOGSY needs to link their VOGSY accounts to their corresponding Trello accounts.
To set up this mapping, use the Trello Mappings – Employees function in the Back Office.
You can associate a Trello account with each active VOGSY employee within this function.
Create or link a Trello board
You can create Trello boards from the project view or you can attach existing Trello boards to your project.
Go to the 'TRELLO' tab on the project view and click 'Add Trello board.' This opens a dialog where you can create or attach an existing Trello board to the project.
Once saved, VOGSY will automatically share the Trello board with all project team members and the task of the board will show in the Trello tab of the project.
Tapping on the title will open the board in Trello.
