If you use Salesforce as your CRM solution, VOGSY can synchronize with it so that you can move smoothly from the opportunity stage to the project stage when the time comes. To integrate VOGSY with Salesforce, the following steps need to be completed to sync data from Salesforce to VOGSY.

1. Authorize Salesforce

  1. Open the CRM setup section of the Setup assistant and click Connect an external CRM.

  2. Select Salesforce from the "Select your crm software" drop-down list and click Save.

  3. Click Authorize VOGSY for Salesforce on the Salesforce connection setup screen.

  4. Sign into Salesforce to complete the authorization process.

2. Generate a Webhook URL

  1. Return to the Salesforce connection setup screen in VOGSY.

  2. Click Generate Webhook URL. VOGSY will generate a unique webhook URL.

  3. Important: This token can only be generated once. Do not close this window until the connection is complete. It's recommended to paste the webhook URL into a text file as a backup.

3. Set up Salesforce

  1. In another browser tab, log into Salesforce and go to the Setup page.

  2. Search for and click on Outbound Messages (under Workflow Actions).

  3. Click New Outbound Message.

  4. Select Opportunity from the "Object" drop-down list and click Next.

  5. On the "Configure Outbound Message" page:

    • Name: Type VOGSY webhook

    • Endpoint URL: Paste the webhook URL you generated in VOGSY.

    • Selected Fields: Make sure Id is in the "Selected Fields" column.

  6. Click Save.

4. Configure the Salesforce flow

  1. In Salesforce Setup, search for and click on Flows.

  2. Click New Flow.

  3. Select Record-Triggered Flow and click Create.

  4. On the Flow Builder page:

    • Object: Select Opportunity.

    • Configure Trigger: Select A record is created or updated.

    • (Optional) Set Entry Conditions for when the flow should trigger.

    • Optimize the Flow for: Select Actions and Related Records.

  5. Click End (on the left-hand side).

  6. In Setup, search for Action.

  7. Click Action and enter vogsy in the Action field.

  8. Click VOGSY webhook and give it a label and an API name.

  9. Click Done and then click Save in the top right corner.

  10. Type a name into the Flow Label field and click Save.

  11. Click Activate.

VOGSY and Salesforce are now connected. You can monitor the outbound messages from Salesforce Setup. Any messages that could not be delivered will show up in the "Outbound Messages" list.
