How to use the Time Entries report
The Time Entries report in VOGSY offers a detailed overview of all work hours recorded by employees. It is essential for understanding how time is spent across your organization and is useful for both internal tracking and external reporting.
This report includes:
- Billable and non-billable hours
- Data suitable for custom reporting and analysis
Filtering
The report can be filtered on:
- Date range (start and finish dates)
- Activity (all or specific)
- Employee (all or specific)
Filtering helps reduce the number of rows shown, making the report easier to manage.
Column descriptions
Year
Week
Year and week of the timesheet
Date
The date of the time entry
Employee
Name of the employee who logged the time
Employee ID
The unique reference of the employee record can be used to map VOGSY employees to entities in other systems (e.g., HR).
Email
The employee’s email address
Seniority
Seniority level of the employee
Employee department
Customer
The name of the customer associated with the project
Project
The name of the project.
Project number
Project manager
Deliverable
The name of the deliverable
Activity
The activity for which time was tracked
Hours
The number of tracked hours
Note
Any notes added by the employee about the entry
Status
Status of the time entry: draft, submitted, or approved.
Department
Department of the project.
Billable hours
Number of billable hours. This can be different from the written time.
Cost rate
Cost rate of the time entry
Sales rate
The sales rate of the time entry.
Invoicing method
Fixed price or Time & Materials.
Revenue type
The revenue type dictates the financial bookings.
Task title
The title of the task (if time was tracked on a task)
Sales rate on invoice
If the sales rate is adjusted (in the calculation record) during the period between submission and approval, the new sales rate is shown here (and afterward on the invoice).

The intercompany cost rate if this time entry is an intercompany time entry
Project status
The status of the project.
Opportunity
The name of the opportunity, if time is tracked on an opportunity
Opportunity status
Sales rate employee
The sales rate from the employee record. This is used to compare the employee's sales rate with the sales of the time entry.
