How does VOGSY forecast capacity for deals that haven't closed yet?

VOGSY uses two distinct features to bridge the sales-to-resource gap. First, Opportunity Bookings allow you to reserve high-level capacity (by role or hours) against a CRM opportunity before a project is ever created. Second, once you move into the Opportunity Project phase, you can use soft bookings for specific staff or placeholders for roles. Both levels flow into your resource heatmaps, letting you see the impact of weighted potential wins on your team’s future availability.

How is project margin calculated during the quoting phase?

In VOGSY, the preliminary margin is calculated within the Project Calculation. It measures your Desired Sales Rate against an activity's Blended Cost (an average internal cost rate for that type of work). This provides an accurate margin forecast based on the work being scoped, long before specific high-cost or low-cost resources are actually assigned to tasks.

Does VOGSY support selling to international clients in different currencies?

VOGSY is designed for global firms. While an individual project and its invoices are set to a single Invoicing Currency, the system automatically manages the relationship between the Local Currency of the business unit owning the project and the Base Currency of the parent holding company. You can quote in the client’s currency while the system maintains a live, consolidated roll-up for your global financial reporting.

What happens to the sales data when a deal is "Won"?

In VOGSY, there is no data migration or re-entry. You work within an Opportunity Project during the sales cycle, where your Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), quotes, and resource placeholders are already defined. When the deal is won, you simply change the project status to "Active." All your historical sales context, budget limits, and planned resources are instantly available for the delivery team.
