How to use tasks to follow up on leads and opportunities

Creating and managing tasks is a great way to stay organized when working with leads and opportunities. Tasks help you track follow-ups, plan your time, and collaborate more easily with your team.

Organization: Lead and opportunity nurturing involves many steps, from sending emails to scheduling calls and social media interactions. Tasks help you keep track of each step so nothing gets missed.

Time management: Nurturing requires consistent follow-up. A task manager helps you schedule and allocate time for lead-nurturing activities, ensuring timely interactions.

Collaboration: Creating tasks for others in the team makes collaborating more visible to all team members. Everybody can track the progress of all tasks linked to the lead and the opportunity.


Create and manage tasks

You can create a task in the Tasks tab on the right-hand side of a lead or opportunity screen.

Each task requires a:
- Title
- Status: To do, Doing, or Done
- Due date

Optional fields:
- Assignee
- Due time
- Description

All tasks, including completed ones, appear in the Tasks tab.
