How to easily track your leads with the Kanban board in VOGSY
Keeping track of your potential customers (called 'leads') is super important! VOGSY's Kanban board makes it simple to see exactly where each lead is in your journey to convert them into customers. Think of it like a whiteboard with sticky notes, but much smarter.
What is a lead Kanban board?
The Kanban board shows each of your leads as a "card." These cards are placed in different columns, and each column represents a different stage of your lead. This way, you can quickly see who is new, ready for a sales call, and almost ready to buy!
Our (default) Lead Statuses Explained:
New: These are fresh leads you've just captured. They haven't been contacted or qualified yet.
MQL (Marketing Qualified Lead): These leads have shown interest in your product/service (e.g., downloaded an ebook, attended a webinar). Marketing thinks they're a good fit, and they're ready for sales to take a closer look.
SQL (Sales Qualified Lead): Sales has talked to these leads and confirmed they have a real need, budget, and timeline. They're genuinely interested and are a high priority for your sales team.
SAL (Sales Accepted Lead): This status is often used when sales has officially "accepted" the MQL from marketing and confirmed they will actively work on it to move it forward. It's a handshake between marketing and sales.
Tip: Customize Your Lead Stages!
Did you know that the lead stages you see on your Kanban board (like New, MQL, SQL, SAL) can be changed to perfectly match your company's unique sales process?
If you need different stages or want to rename existing ones, an administrator in your VOGSY account can easily configure these lead (Opportunity) stages in VOGSY's back office. This ensures your Kanban board always reflects the exact steps of your sales journey!
Step-by-Step Guide: How to Use the Kanban Board
Go to Persons:
In VOGSY, click on "Persons" in the main menu.
Switch to the Visual Board:
Look for the Kanban board icon at the top right of the screen.
Click it to change your view.
See Your Leads in Different Stages:
Now, you'll see your leads (as cards) neatly organized into columns like "New," "MQL," "SQL," and "SAL."
The column a lead's card is in tells you its current status.
Change a Lead's Status (Drag & Drop!):
Has a "New" lead responded to your email? Drag their card from the "New" column to the "MQL" column!
Did your sales team just qualify an MQL? Drag it to the "SQL" column.
It's that simple! This automatically updates the lead's status in VOGSY.
Quickly Check Lead Details:
Click on any lead card to open the person card with quick info like who's managing it or what company they're from.
You can also check all documents associated with this lead, internal conversations, notes, tasks, and logged emails.
Find Specific Leads:
If you have many leads, use the search bar on top to search by name or the "Filters" button at the top to search for leads by labels.
Simple tips for managing your leads
Keep It Moving: Try to move your lead cards regularly. This keeps your pipeline fresh and accurate.
Teamwork: If different people handle different stages (e.g., marketing for MQL, sales for SQL), make sure everyone understands when to move a card to the next person's column.
Spot the Stuck Leads: If you see a lot of cards piling up in one column, it might mean you need to give those leads a little extra attention!
