How to use your VOGSY home screen
More billable time, less overhead, better lifecycle
As a services professional, you'll want to dedicate as much of your time to client work. Your services provide value to your customers, and your billable hours create your company revenue.
VOGSY allows you to save time on non-billable work. But without missing out on crucial tasks and updates.
The VOGSY home screen is a feed that alerts you to actions you need to take, status changes, or new events that occur over the customer lifecycle.
An empty home screen means you can focus 100% on client work!
You can mark notifications as "done" or snooze them to a later date or time.
VOGSY works on any device
Access all your notifications and actions on your phone, tablet, or desktop screen. Approve timesheets, invoices, and other transactions anytime, anywhere!
To receive push notifications on your (mobile) devices, you must allow VOGSY to send you push notifications. You can switch this on in the notification settings for the device you're working on.
What is on your VOGSY home screen?
You will receive two types of messages in cards on your home screen: notifications and actions.
When there is a new item on your feed, the bell starts ringing.
Notifications will update you on the status of opportunities and projects, such as:
Weather changes on opportunities and projects.
Newly created opportunities and projects.
New team members.
When you have been added to a project.
You can find lots more in your notification settings in VOGSY, where you can switch notifications on or off.
Actions alert you to things you must do to keep the lead-to-cash process flowing. Some examples are:
Enter your time and submit your timesheet.
Approve team members' timesheets for projects that you manage.
Approve quotes before they are sent out.
Approve customer invoices before they are sent out.
Approve supplier invoices for the projects that you manage.
When actions need your attention, an indication appears in the menu. 
The VOGSY weather system
VOGSY uses "weather" indicators to show you the health of an opportunity or a project.
The opportunity weather is "sunny" when the pipeline velocity is within the boundaries you have set for this in the back office of VOGSY.
The project weather reflects its overall performance. You can base the weather on the margin or on the schedule. To set this up, go to the project settings in VOGSY's back office.
Companies that primarily charge hourly commonly base the weather on the margin. Companies that sell projects with set deliverables want the weather to be based on the schedule. They also use the percentage completion indicator in the project card.
