April 22, 2026
Welcome to the April 2026 release of VOGSY. This month brings significant updates to data privacy and access control, new AI-powered capabilities to streamline project and invoice management, and expanded API coverage for employee administration. We've also improved sales forecasting precision and resolved several issues reported by our users. Read on for the full details.
New features
Departmental and regional data isolation VOGSY now supports permission-based data isolation by company and department. Users only see data — including projects, opportunities, and financial information — for the companies and departments they are authorized to access. To activate this feature, go to the employee's profile in the back office (Employees) and use the Selectable companies/departments field. Selecting one or more companies or departments restricts the employee's view and data entry permissions to those organizational boundaries. Leave the field empty to allow the user to see and create data across the entire organization. Note that super users are not affected by these restrictions. This feature is ideal for organizations with multiple business units operating within a single VOGSY environment.
Revenue Type restrictions by company or department Administrators can now restrict which Revenue Types are available based on a project's assigned Company or Department. When setting up deliverables, users only see the Revenue Types relevant to their business unit, reducing the risk of data entry errors and financial misalignments.
Employee management APIs VOGSY now provides API endpoints for managing employee settings, including the ability to configure working hours, billability percentages, user types, roles, and department finish dates via the API. This enables organizations to automate employee onboarding and offboarding through external HR systems or custom integrations. For full details, see the VOGSY API reference.
VOGSY AI
AI-powered invoice scheduling for fixed-price deliverables VOGSY now offers an AI-assisted way to create invoicing schedules for fixed-price deliverables. Instead of manually adding each billing period, you can describe your desired schedule in natural language — for example, "12 monthly invoices on the last Friday of each month" — and VOGSY AI will generate the full schedule for you to review and confirm before it's linked to the deliverable. This is especially useful for retainer projects with recurring billing cycles. The prompt used for this feature can be configured in the back office under Prompts.
Improved AI project creation for retainer projects Creating complex retainer projects through VOGSY AI is now more reliable. You can ask the AI to set up a full project — including monthly deliverables, invoice schedules, calculations, and employee allocations — and expect a more complete result in a single request.
Faster AI responses with real-time progress updates VOGSY AI now responds faster and shows real-time progress indicators while processing your requests. You can see exactly what the AI is working on, so you know the system is actively handling your request.
Improvements
- Finer-grained sales probability (1% increments) The Sales Probability field now supports 1% increments instead of the previous 5% steps. You can set precise probability values — such as 12% or 88% — to more accurately reflect deal status. This results in more accurate weighted revenue forecasts and pipeline reporting.
Bug fixes
Holiday toggling now correctly updates resource planning Previously, toggling a holiday on or off (for example, marking a public holiday as a working day) did not always update the resource planning view. VOGSY now correctly reflects holiday changes, ensuring that available hours and capacity calculations match your holiday configuration.
Projects now visible in "Planned only" resource planning filter When filtering the resource planning view to "Planned only," some projects were missing from the list even though their hours were included in the totals. All projects with planned hours now appear correctly in the filtered view.
Project closing error resolved In some cases, attempting to close a project would produce an error even when all deliverables were already closed. This has been fixed — you can now close projects without encountering unexpected errors.
