A fresh look, and AI you can rely on. We've refreshed the VOGSY interface to prepare for our new homepage, and VOGSY AI is now out of alpha: stable, robust, and ready for daily use. This release also introduces employee-based price lists for bottom-up projects, extends the Velocity agent to quote approvals, and brings a range of improvements to finance reporting, invoicing, project setup, and the API.

A refreshed interface

We've given the VOGSY interface a refresh. It's the first step toward the new VOGSY homepage, coming soon. Here's what changes for you:

• Notifications in the menu. The notification bell has moved from the top right to the menu on the left, so your notifications sit right next to everything else you navigate to.
• VOGSY AI is out of alpha. The AI features in VOGSY have matured and are no longer marked as alpha. They are now stable and robust, ready to support your daily work.
• A more compact menu. The menu takes up less space, giving you more room for your work. The Snooze feature has been removed, as it was rarely used.

New features

Employee-based price lists

Agreed a specific rate per consultant? You can now register it in VOGSY. Price lists get a new switch to base rates on employees instead of activities. Register sales rates per employee per period, and link the list to a customer as the default for its projects, or directly to a single project. Index rates mid-project and the new rates apply automatically from the chosen date when you invoice hours. "Update rates of all associated projects", "Index rates", and "Extend period" work for employee-based lists too. Employee-based price lists apply to bottom-up projects, where sales rates follow the rates of the allocated employees.

Velocity agent risk verdicts for quote approvals

The Velocity agent now also pre-checks every quote approval request and assigns a verdict: approve without risk, approve with caution, or reject. The verdict weighs the discount against the calculated margin of the related pending opportunity, and always comes with the reasoning behind it. By default, a quote with a standard discount and a margin of 20% or more is marked approve without risk. A margin between 10% and 20% calls for caution. A margin below 10% or a discount above 15% leads to reject. You can tailor these rules in the back office to match your own pricing policy. The final decision always stays with the approver.

Improvements

Finance and invoicing

• Accounts Payable report filters. Filter the report by status (only outstanding, or all including paid) and by account payable date, so you can check at a glance whether every purchase invoice has been booked.
• Supplier in the Financial Transactions report. Transactions from purchase invoices now show the supplier name, so you can trace every transaction back to its source.
• VAT breakdown per invoice line. Invoices can now show net, VAT, and gross amounts per line, plus a totals row with the same breakdown. VAT is calculated and rounded per line, and Omani Rial amounts show three decimals, in line with Omani tax requirements.
• Business registration number on invoices. Use it as a merge field in invoice templates. It is also included in the generated invoice XML.
• Pre-filled alternative invoice address. Enable "Use alternative invoice address" on a project and VOGSY pre-fills the fields with the customer's invoice address and email addresses. Change only what differs.

Projects and teams

• Automatic Project Manager assignment. A new project setting adds the manager of the company or department as Project Manager the moment a project is created, so every new project has a clear owner from day one.
• Deliverable team members join the project team. Adding someone to a deliverable team now adds them to the project team automatically. No more double entry.

Reporting and API

• Labels in Looker. Filter, group, and segment your Looker dashboard data by label, just like elsewhere in VOGSY.
• Approved invoices API. The response now includes company, holding, and department objects.
• Opportunity API validation. The opportunity API now returns clear validation messages for invalid payloads, such as an invalid opportunity status, making integrations easier to build and debug. See the API reference for details.

Bug fixes

• Fixed an issue where employees with a future start date couldn't be scheduled before that date, and their cost rate and available hours weren't shown. VOGSY now uses the activity's start date as the reference.
• Fixed an issue where @-mention suggestions didn't appear in the "Start a conversation" dialog on projects and tasks.
• Fixed an issue where starting a new time entry with the timer cleared the note of the previous time entry.
• Fixed an issue where saving a manual credit invoice in the back office showed "Something went wrong" and the invoice couldn't be opened afterwards.
• Fixed an issue where the discount/surcharge percentage field didn't accept decimal values such as 1.5%.
