We're excited to share our latest release, packed with new features and enhancements designed to make your experience smoother and more efficient! This update focuses on invoicing, procurement, reporting, integrations, and task automation. With these changes, we aim to minimize operational risks, enhance financial traceability, and streamline CRM and reminder workflows, helping your teams stay on track and within budget.

What's New

  • Project-level invoicing toggle: You can now control the availability of project-level invoicing via Project Settings. By disabling this setting, you can prevent the option from appearing during project setup, reducing the risk of accidental activation. Any existing projects already utilizing project-level invoicing will remain untouched and continue to function as usual.
  • Automated Purchase Order entries: You can now create Purchase Order entries for calculated cost types, generating a unique PO number for supplier tracking. This number can be used when processing incoming supplier invoices to automatically prefill the purchase invoice form and distribute costs correctly to the associated project. This update streamlines the AP process, reduces manual data entry, and ensures financial accuracy across your projects.
  • Task-driven email reminders: You can now configure email messages for each task, schedule them relative to due dates or at a fixed reminder date, and assign both internal and external recipients. A daily routine will dispatch reminders (only once per task and not for tasks marked as Done), and reports will indicate the scheduled reminder date and whether an email was sent. This feature helps teams automate follow-ups for renewals and time-sensitive obligations.
  • Multiple cost rates per external resource: Project managers can now define a cost rate per allocation for external resources, defaulting from the employee rate. This allows for more accurate profitability and cost tracking, reflecting the actual rates paid for different services. This setting is optional in Project Settings.
  • Pipedrive integration: You can now connect your environments to Pipedrive, complete with mapping of funnels and stages, an initial import option, continuous sync, and notifications for sync failures. Imported records will include a link back to Pipedrive, reducing manual data entry and keeping sales pipelines aligned.
  • Customizable invoice reminder addresses: You can now set specific reminder addresses per customer (and project), ensuring reminders are sent to designated addresses rather than the primary invoice processing mailbox. This helps avoid reminders being routed into automated invoice inboxes.
  • Reporting enhancements: The Expenses report now features an Expense number column to simplify reconciliation with financial transactions. Additionally, the Billability per Employee report/dataset now includes employees without a billable target, providing a clearer picture of total capacity.

Bug Fixes

  • Invoice synchronization fix: We resolved an issue where invoices were not syncing with the external accounting system due to next-invoice-number and year/period handling. Synchronization now respects the correct year/period behavior per document type, preventing missed AR/AP entries.
  • Timesheet comment field fix: We fixed an insert-time entry failure caused by very large timesheet comment fields that were indexed. The reference/comment field has been removed from the index to prevent insertion errors when lengthy notes are saved.
